Bringing up Responsible Children

       Every parent will love his or her child to be somebody on  whom  they and their community can rely when they become adults.Social trends today reveal that children tend to adopt foreign cultures which turn to affect their behaviors as well as expectations of their parents.Most of them fail to recall that their future lies in their own hands.Despite this,parents have a great role to play if their children must be what they want them to be.
    They should know that the environment and the genes inherited by their children have a great role to play on their future behavior.In this fast changing world full of many technological developments,parents need to advice their children on how to pursuit any interest of theirs irrespective of age or qualification.Note that what an old man sits and sees,a young man will never see even if he or she climbs the tallest tree.It should be noted that wisdom has no school in which it is taught.The old are wiser than the youth though not all

      People who have the main responsibility for children are called primary caregivers.These individuals generally make the major decisions about how a child is raised.Usually they are parents or guardians.A guardians is somebody who has legal responsibility over a child when parents are unable to provide care.Guardians are often relatives to the to child.
      Effective caregivers,including parents and those who are employed in the child-care field,share many characteristics as follows:
      - Affection;feeling affection for the child makes the work easier.This makes you to care deeply for the child.
     -Patience; caregivers need to understand and accept the limitations that children have.Repeating instructions and reading the same story again and again are simply part of child rearing.
    -Self-control;caregivers are human and some times they feel impatient.On those occasions they need another quality:self-control.
    -Consistency; children thrive when they are given routines-the same bedtime,the same rules,the same responses to similar behaviors.Lack of consistency leaves children unsure of how to act,which can disturb their sense of well being.
    -Alertness;caregivers need to be aware of what children are doing all the time,especially young children.Alertness prevents possible harm.It also allows caregiver to provide experiences for growth and learning,
    -Energy;children need more attention.Effective caregiver must have the physical and mental stamina to keep up with them.
       Certain skills are needed to care properly for children.Developing the following skills help parents and other caregivers provide the best care for children.These skills are:
      -Communication;caregivers need to communicate effectively with children using both words and actions.
